It's been nearly four months since London Muldrow was shot in the head at a gas station on Detroit's west side.

The shooting occurred in the area of Livernois and Puritan when an altercation escalated between two men resulting in shots being fired.
Now London is continuing the recovery process with the help of her community.
"Of course it's a miracle," said Laurice Henderson, London's mother. "My baby is walking, talking, doing wonderful."
On April 7, Henderson was crippled with fear and anger at the thought of her daughter being a victim of senseless and vengeful violence. It horrified her that London may never be able to tell her story, Henderson said.
"I didn't know if she was going to make it," Henderson said.
After London was shot in the head, she spent 28 days at Children's Hospital and underwent many surgeries, all the while with her mother by her side.
London has no recollection of the incident at all. Henderson says she's grateful for the gifts of kindness and generosity from people who genuinely care, like the people at Xpert Car Care.
Tony, the owner, has decided to donate his own money and raffle of a 2012 Dodge to go toward London's therapy.
Since insurance has run out, Henderson pays what she can out of pocket.
