A visit to grandma's house, took a deadly turn for one teen.
On December 16th around 11:30 p.m. as 16-year old Jesse Boswell left his grandmother's apartment complex, he was gunned down inside of the parking lot.
He checked on his grandmother several times a day, every day, according to police.
"This is one of the worst shootings I’ve seen in awhile. This child had no chance of defending himself or fleeing. He was ambushed," says Detroit police detective E. Kimble.
This surveillance video shows Jesse walking into the building on Kenilworth near Woodward in Detroit.
He walked out of the building a few minutes later carrying a bag of donuts.
Suddenly, shots were fired at the teen.
Surveillance shows the suspect re-racking the weapon and firing again.
Police say nearly a dozen shots were fired at Jesse from a high powered handgun. He died on the scene and since police have been trying to find the child-killer.
“That was somebody's child that needed to grow up… understand what life is really worth… he didn’t have an opportunity... stolen from him by this person... need to get this person off the streets so they don’t harm anyone else's child," says Detective Kimble.
