HOLLY, Mich. (WXYZ) — A carjacking suspect who barricaded themselves inside a home on Tuesday night in Holly was found dead inside the home.
The barricaded situation happened on East Maple in the village of Holly.

The situation began when a tipster notified 911 of a male and female suspect in a stolen minivan. Police attempted to make a traffic stop but the suspects fled. There was a pursuit that moved to the East Holly Exit, as the suspect continued to speed. Troopers with MSP eventually lost the suspect.
While continuing down Holly Road, troopers noticed a crashed vehicle with damage on the side of the road, and a second crashed vehicle further up the road. The stolen minivan was found in the front yard of a home in the area. Police say the drivers of the other vehicles had non-life-threatening injuries.
After spotting the stolen vehicle, troopers witnessed the suspects run into the home. The homeowners were released from the home unharmed.
After no response from the suspect, police sent a robot in who found the suspect dead from a gunshot wound.
