The national NAACP is in Flint to meet face to face with the governor and citizens.

National leaders of the organization are speaking out in the wake of the water crisis.

The NAACP IS calling for more legal, financial and nutritional assistance. They're also prepared to demonstrate if they don't get it.

After a closed door meeting with the governor, the NAACP national president talked to 7 Action News.

His words were also shared with hundreds earlier inside a packed room downtown. Justice, transparency and accountability were the major themes.

Calling for unity, state leaders together with citizens, say they want more support from the state and a target date when they can safely drink tap water again.

The governor and flint mayor will talk more tomorrow, further addressing the catastrophe dating back 2 years that's exposed countless people to contaminated lead water.
