(WXYZ) — The 2020 Michigan Presidential Primary is taking place on Tuesday, and those who are not registered can still register through 8 p.m. on election day.

To do so, you'll have to register in person at your local city or township clerk's office by 8 p.m.

When registering, you have to show proof of where you live with your name and current address. You can show a digital copy of documents. Acceptable forms of ID include:

Michigan driver's license or state ID card
Current utility bill
Bank statement
Paycheck or government check
Other government document

After registering, you can either vote an absent ballot at the clerk's office or at your polling place.

To be eligible to register, you must be a Michigan resident and a resident of your city or township for at least 30 days, a U.S. citizen at least 18 years old and not currently serving in jail or prison.
