The thunder is about to roll on satellite radio.

Garth Brooks is getting his own channel on SiriusXM. The Garth Channel — as the station has been dubbed — goes live on Sept. 8, according to an announcement from SiriusXM.

The channel is expected to air tracks spanning Brooks's record-breaking career in country music, as well as live recordings, interviews, specials and the music that influenced his career.

This is going to be AWESOME!!! Any song requests for #TheGarthChannel on @SiriusXM? HA! love, g https://t.co/gmWI7IaPti

Brooks has had 19 Billboard country chart-topping hit singles since 1989, including "The Dance," "The River" and "Friends in Low Places." He's also certified by the Recording Industry Association of America as the top-selling solo artist in American history with more than 136 million albums sold.

Brooks is the latest country star to get his own SiriusXM channel. In April, Kenny Chesney launched No Shoes Radio on the subscription service.
