SAVANNAH, Ga. — An attorney for the man who owns a property where Ahmaud Arbery was spotted the day he died released a new video Friday that shows a man matching Arbery's description visiting the construction site in December.

Attorney J. Elizabeth Graddy, the lawyer for property owner Larry English, indicated that the video could show that Arbery was visiting a water source on the property during his jogs.

The video shows a black man in a T-shirt and shorts leaving the home-building site Dec. 17. He walks a few feet, then runs to the street at a jogging pace.

It is not known if the person is Arbery. English has already said publicly that he does not believe Arbery stole anything from his property and that he did not call the police when he saw Arbery was there.

Arbery's family maintains that the 25-year-old man was out for a jog on Feb. 23, the day that Travis McMichael shot and killed Arbery in a Brunswick neighborhood.

The McMichaels have said they pursued Arbery because they thought he matched the description of a robbery suspect.

On the day of the shooting, Gregory McMichael — Travis' father — told police that they identified Arbery as a suspect in a series of robberies in the area. In fact, according to The Brunswick News, there was only a single report of a robbery in the weeks leading up to Arbery's death — the theft of a gun stolen from the McMichael's unlocked truck in January.

The McMichaels were arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault in connection with Arbery's death on May 7 — more than two months after Arbery's death. Between the shooting and the McMichaels arrest, the case changed hands a number of times due to conflicts of interest — Gregory McMichael was a longtime investigator for the Brunswick District Attorney's office and a former police officer.

The McMichaels arrest came two days after a video of the shooting was leaked to the public. The video appears to show inconsistencies with Travis McMichael's account to police — especially his assertion that the two had pulled up next to Arbery and asked to talk. Video shows the men cutting off Arbery's patch with their truck.
