DETROIT (WXYZ) — There's a new business coming to downtown Detroit. It's called The Detroit Writing Room.

It's billed as a "cozy workspace that will offer writing, graphic design and photography coaching for creatives and entrepreneurs".

Stephanie Steinberg, a journalist and managing editor of SEEN Magazine, came up with the idea.

"We have a real strong entrepreneurship and literary community," she said. "To meld those together is going to be something really special."

It's a place you can go and get help from professional writers.

"We're going to have coaches, award-winning journalists, graphic designers, authors, photographers... you can sign up for one-on-one feedback for whatever it is that you're working on," Steinberg said.

You can become a member or just drop in for the day.

Here's how it works. Co-working and coaching is offered between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, according to a release. Evening events will also be hosted at the space Monday through Saturday.

A 30-day Kickstarted campaing has been launched to raise $20,000 to help build the space. You can donate here.
