Quicken Loans is getting ready to breathe new life into Woodward Avenue.

The newest public space in downtown Detroit is set to open today. It involves a $400,000 redevelopment of two medians along the  avenue.

The company says the spot south of Campus Martius will better connect the downtown urban core to the Riverfront.

Quicken Loans says the space will include public art installations, pedestrian walkways, food trucks, live entertainment and other attractions.
