Oakland County Sheriff's Deputy Dave Hack surprised students at the Rochester Adams High School graduation on the campus of Oakland University on Wednesday night.

Hack, who was the school liasion officer at Rochester Adams, was hit by a car and critically injured on Tienken Rd. in front of the school on Jan. 4.

The 50-year-old was policing a car accident that happened in front of the school when a second accident occurred. He then was policing that accident when a passing car struck him outside of his patrol car.

We're told a 24-year-old  from Oakland Township was driving to Oakland University when she accidentally hit him.

Hack received a standing ovation from students who were very happy to see the deputy.

He had been in rehab for three months in Colorado and just recently returned to Michigan.
