(WXYZ) — Opening statements are set to begin today in the trial for former Michigan State gymnastics coach Kathie Klages.

Klages is accused of lying to investigators when she denied being told of Nassar's sexual misconduct before 2016.

Nassar is currently serving decades in prison for sexual assault and child pornography crimes.
