The original Troy police cat, Pawficcer Badges, now has a new home at Leuk's Landing in Ann Arbor.

Badges was not able to be sworn in as a member of the Troy Police Department's feline unit after being diagnosed with feline leukemia.

She was chosen to be the department's police cat after Troy Police launched a Twitter campaign.

Leuk's Landing provides a permanent home for cats and kittens with feline leukemia.

In addition to adopting Badges, Leuk's Landing also adopted her siblings, Kel and Alex, who have been renamed to Lt. Kel and Miranda Rights.
