Owner of Detroit grocery store destroyed in fire says business will reopen

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Metro Food Center & Pharmacy Owner Jim Farida says new checks and bonuses are being prepared and should be ready tomorrow for workers who lost them in a fire on Christmas Eve.

The investigation remains underway, and no signs of criminal activity have been found.

“We will either reopen or find a new location to have the business because that's what I want to do," Farida said. "We will keep working."
