The city of Detroit ordered tenants in the Russell Industrial Center to move out until the building is up to code.

Now, the building’s owner is appealing that order.

Two things could happen. The board of appeals could say no. If so, it is likely everyone will have to be out by the end of the day Thursday.

The board could also give the owner of the Russell Industrial Center, Dennis Kefalinos, time to try to bring the building into compliance.

In the meantime, tenants are fighting for their own fights.
