GROSSE POINTE, Mich. (WXYZ) — Dozens of parents and students spoke out against a new plan made by the Grosse Pointe School Board.

At a meeting Monday night, they protested a plan that will move students with special needs to different schools in the fall.

The move is part of the district's reconfiguration plan.

Parents were seen holding signs reading "inclusion matters," and yelling at board members to "hit the brakes."

Students with autism are among those who would relocate.
