DETROIT (WXYZ) — A man is in custody after allegedly driving off in an ambulance on Detroit's west side.
Sources say the patient was under the influence and was being taken to a hospital when he attacked two EMTs and took over the ambulance near Greenfield and Curtis.
Police recovered the ambulance at Woodmont and Plymouth.
The EMTs were reportedly taken to the hospital, as well, but are expected to be okay.
