Photo released of suspect wanted in deadly Mt. Clemens shooting

The Macomb County Sheriff's Office has released a photo of a suspect wanted in a shooting that killed a man and injured a woman on Thursday night.

According to the sheriff's office, a large group of people was in the area of Court and Clemens street because of shots fired. When police arrived on scene they learned that two people with gunshot wounds had been taken to the hospital.

Charlie McGowan, 24, of Clinton Township, died in the shooting. The second victim, a 26-year-old woman out of Clinton Township, is being treated for her injuries.

Deputies are searching for 25-year-old Perry Bernard Rouse Jr. as the suspect in the investigation.

The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of first-degree murder, felony firearm, felon in possession of a firearm and assault with intent to murder.

He is 5-feet-6, weighing 150 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.

The sheriff's office believes he is in possession of an assault rifle-style weapon and is getting help from someone known to him.
