(WXYZ) — If you've ever wanted to dine in complete darkness, now is your chance.

Explore Hidden is bringing a new concept called "Pitch Black," a dining-in-the-dark event, to the Motor City this May. It will happen at a secret location from May 20-27 at a secret location.

According to Explore Hidden, the point of dining in pitch black is so that people focus on taste, smell, mouthfeel and sound.

"There are no food snaps here, so Insta-happy snappers be warned! All diners must hand over phones, watches and any other light sources before the event begins, dining is in pitch black after all," the event said.

People will be in a warmly-lit room and accompanied by waiters into a dining room before being sent into darkness. There will be three different menus to choose from, and dietary restrictions and allergies will be accounted for. Diners can also pre-order their favorite drinks.

Each dinner lasts 90 minutes for the two-course, blindfolded meal. It's open to people 21 and up.
