Harper Woods Department of Public Safety officers arrested a 23-year-old man in connection to the theft of multiple Amazon packages from Vernier and Beaufait Streets.
A resident on Vernier St. called police after witnessing a man stealing an Amazon package from his mailbox. After losing sight of the suspect, he was able to take a photograph and provide a detailed description to officers.
HWDPS Intern Jeff Powell observed the wanted suspect carrying additional Amazon packages. When approached by officers, the suspect fled on foot.
Officers were able to take the suspect into custody.
HWDPS officers determined the suspect stole the additional packages from two different homes on Beaufait Street.
