Police in Farmington are searching for the two suspects who forced their way into an apartment and shot a man on Tuesday night.
Police say the victim, a 40-year old man who lived at Mooney Street Apartments is in stable condition this morning.
He was shot in the leg after he told police two guys knocked on his apartment door and told him they were having car trouble.
Farmington police were called around 9 p.m. Tuesday night.
The two men told the victim they needed to use his phone and when he refused, they broke in to his apartment. They fought with the man then one of the suspects armed with a pistol shot the man in the leg, according to police.
The suspects were no where in sight when police arrived.
Police believe there is no threat to the public as they are confident the suspects behind this shooting have left the area.
