TAYLOR, Mich. (WXYZ) — A 21-year-old suspect has been taken into police custody following a barricaded gunman situation in Taylor early Wednesday morning.
The incident started around 2 a.m. as a domestic situation in the area of Court Village. Police say there was an 11-month-old girl inside the home with the suspect. The baby was recovered from the scene unharmed.
Multiple shell casings were recovered at the scene but no one struck, according to police.
A woman, who officers believe is a girlfriend of the suspect, made it out safely without injuries. She is currently at the police department.
Negotiators were able to talk the suspect down. The man is now in police custody.
