Police investigating non-fatal shooting, fatal stabbing in Detroit

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating a non-fatal shooting and fatal stabbing that happened Monday night.

Non-Fatal Shooting on 19300 block of Alcoy

On March 16 around 9:30 p.m. in the 19300 block of Alcoy, a 51-year old male victim was in his vehicle in the driveway when three suspects approached and allegedly fired shots into his car and striking him.

Police say the victim reversed out of the driveway and drove north on Alcoy. The victim was later located at the hospital suffering from multiple gunshots wounds to the body, according to police.

The victim was listed in critical condition. Roght now, the suspects are unknown.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated.

1 arrest in fatal stabbing on 19300 block of Hartwell

On March 16 around 9:15 p.m. in the 19300 block of Hartwell St, a 49-year old male victim was seen inside of the location suffering from a stab wound to the body.

Police say prior to his injury, the victim and 28-year old female suspect were heard arguing.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, according to police.

The suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
