UTICA, Mich. (WXYZ) — Utica police are looking for a man who was standing at the corner of Van Dyke and Hall Road naked. Police from at least two communities say calls came in this afternoon but they have not been able to find the man.
It may seem like a funny story for some, but authorities are not laughing. Police and parents are taking this very seriously.
Jim Nelson was visiting a nearby park when he heard the news.
“There’s a lot of weird stuff going on these days," he said.
Police received several calls about the naked man but by the time they got close, he was already gone.
Talked with @ShelbyTwp911 and they tell me they also received a call about a naked man on the Orchard Trail... wearing only red boots

Nelson asked, “What’s going on with this guy? Is he psychologically disturbed?”
Police started searching the area and nearby parks.
Tom Stelman was cycling on nearby trail.
“We come here a lot and usually we don’t have any problems in this park, it’s a beautiful park,” he said.
Shelby Township police say they also got a call of a naked man on Orchard Trail near River Bends Park wearing only red boots.
Police couldn’t find him before hearing he crossed into Utica.
A mother we talked with took her son to River Bends Park this afternoon but kept him close after hearing about the man.
She said, “It’s scary for me that’s why I was staying with him all the time.”
Utica Police are working this case, trying to track this man down.
They are waiting to see if nearby businesses with surveillance cameras could provide more information.
If you saw the man, call police right away.
