Michigan State Police have confirmed the suspect in the Detroit teen abduction case has been arrested in Ohio.

Police say 45-year-old Gregory Walker took 13-year-old Deontae Mitchell late Tuesday in Detroit.

Detroit police have scheduled a 10 a.m. news conference to provide an update regarding the abduction of 13-year-old Deontae Mitchell.

An Amber Alert is still issued for the boy.

Police, this morning, have taped off an area on the city's east side in relation to the disappearance of the teen.

Police say Deontae was hanging out with his cousin around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday outside of Nino's Market at 15901 E. Warren when they picked up money that was dropped by a man outside.

DPD Chief James Craig said Deontae was kidnapped by 11:15 p.m.

Craig says video shows the abduction and that the suspect came back to the store afterwards.

Deontae is described as a black male with light hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a lime green Nautica shirt with gray jogging pants and black gym shoes.

If you have any information regarding this incident, you're asked to call police immediately.
