Police are looking for a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 15-year-old boy on Detroit's east side on Saturday.

On July 21 at 10:05 p.m., Detroit police officers responded to the incident that happened on East 7 Mile and Caldwell Street.

The 15-year-old was crossing the street when he was struck by a black SUV that was traveling eastbound on East 7 Mile Road. The boy was then hit again by a second vehicle traveling westbound on East 7 Mile.

Although the first vehicle failed to stop, the driver of the second vehicle did stop after hitting the teen.

The 15-year-old was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead upon arrival.

Police say the black SUV may have heavy front-end damage.
