Michigan State Police are on the scene of the rollover crash that happened Saturday morning on westbound I-94 near Telegraph.
Police say a vehicle traveling eastbound on I-94 with four occupants lost control after the driver apparently fell asleep at the wheel.
The car rolled several times in the center median, ejecting one male passenger into the westbound lanes of I-94.
Luckily, that passenger was not hit by any oncoming vehicles, police say.
A second passenger was ejected out of the vehicle's back window. The driver was pinned under the vehicle.
Police say the front passenger had minor injuries. A preliminary investigation revealed this occupant was the only one wearing a seatbelt.
Two victims were taken to Beaumont Dearborn Hospital by ambulance, and one passenger was transported by a LifeFlight helicopter.
Right now, the people involved in the crash have been identified as:
- Driver: 20 years old from Melvindale
- Front passenger: 19 years old from Melvindale
- Rear passenger: 33 years old from Dearborn
- Rear passenger: 26 years old from Dearborn
