Lockdown lifted in Harper Woods after police situation

HARPER WOODS, Mich. (WXYZ) - A police situation forced all schools in Harper Woods into lockdown Thursday. The lockdown has now been lifted.
Three men were taken into custody at a nearby home after reports that shots were fired in the area.
Harper Woods Middle School, Harper Woods High School, Beacon Elementary, Tyrone Elementary and Heart Academy were all on lockdown. Poupard Elementary School in Grosse Pointe was also placed on lockdown.
Police tell 7 Action News that shots were fired at a home on Lancaster and Peerless in Harper Woods.
Chopper 7 was over the scene where three suspects could be scene on the ground while they were being held by police.
Harper Woods Schools Superintendent says this was a preventative lockdown at the request of Harper Woods Police.
We're told that the three men are being held and could face charges.
