DETROIT (WXYZ) — Police still need help identifying the suspect responsible for the shooting of two election campaign workers on Detroit's east side.
Back on Oct. 30, 2018 around 6:30 p.m., 24-year-old Anton Carter was knocking on doors in the area of Drexel and Hern to engage residents on the then upcoming election.
Police say a gunman approached Carter and his 19-year-old female co-worker, fatally shooting Carter and striking the co-worker.
The suspect is described as a Black man between ages 19 and 24. He is 5-foot 11-inches tall, about 140 pounds with a slim build, dark brown eyes, medium complexion and narrow face with no facial hair.
He was last seen wearing a gray hooded zip-up sweater, dark blue acid wash jeans and armed with a handgun.
Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest in Anton Carter's murder.
