Races for Congress and Macomb County Clerk drawing ballot interest

Primary races for Senate, House, and also Macomb County Clerk are heating up. Each candidate is pushing hard in these final hours. 

In the race for U.S. Senate, Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow will face either Republican John James or Republican Sandy Pensler. James has the support of President Trump, while Pensler says he's a family man with strong values. 

Another tight race is for the seat formerly held by Congressman John Conyers Jr. In that race, front-runners include Westland Mayor Bill Wild, State Senator Coleman Young Jr., Former State Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Detroit City Council President Brenda Jones and Ian Conyers. 

In the 11th district, State Representative Klint Kesto, Lena Epstein, Rocky Raczkowski, Kerry Bentivolio, Suneel Gupta, Tim Greimel, Haley Stevens and Mike Kowall are all part of a close race. 

For Macomb County Clerk, Democrats Steven Bieda and Fred Miller are both competing for a spot held previously by Kathy Spranger.
