DETROIT (WXYZ) — A porch pirate hitting houses while driving a luxury vehicle has been arrested, according to Detroit police.

The 33-year-old woman was arrested Saturday in the area of Joy Road and Meyers around 6:30 p,m.

The suspect was driving a 2006 black Range Rover, which police believe may have been stolen or the plate could have been registered to a stolen vehicle. That's under investigation.

Police located the suspect and vehicle and conducted a traffic stop after receiving a description of the license plate and person earlier in the day.

There were several packages found in the vehicle, however, police say if the packages found are not reported stolen, the woman will avoid theft charges.

Police are asking the public if they've been a victim of porch piracy, to please report it.
