Teachers, parents, students and school administrators take on the challenge every snow day in metro Detroit – how to entertain and inform the community that school’s been called off?

Yesterday’s snow event was no different.

A Huron Valley Schools principal posted a snow day rap called “It Takes Snow 2020” with the help of his daughter and a few pint-sized friends.

Josh Gignac, principal at Johnson Elementary School, spoofed the snow day song off the 1980s-hip-hop hit “It Takes Two” by Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock.

At the end of the song, Gignan challenged his students to write about their day off and drop it off at his office for a chance to win a pizza party.
