Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump has suggested a re-do to absentee voters who may now regret their choice of Hillary Clinton on their ballot.

Michigan is one of the state's where a re-vote on an absentee ballot is possible, according to Oakland County Clerk Lisa Brown.

"You can go your local clerk's office and tell them you'd like your absentee ballot back, show them your ID, go through all the processes to get the ballot, and that ballot will be destroyed and you'll be issued another ballot," Brown said in detailing the process for Action News.

Typically, a re-vote would involve a lost or spoiled ballot of some sort. Brown acknowledges this election is proving to be anything but typical.

"I don't recall anybody ever encouraging people to do that before," said Brown. "I also don't remember a Presidential candidate saying that they wouldn't accept the results before either, so a little bit unprecedented this cycle."

The regular deadline for requesting an absentee ballot is Saturday at 2 p.m. Any request after that would fall under an emergency situation, according to Brown.
