Detroit police are trying to figure out what happened to a 13-year-old girl after she ran away from home last week.

Police confirm they are investigating a statutory rape case, also the possibility of prostitution and human trafficking involving the runaway.

Her father tells us she called 911 on Sunday, and police picked her up near the corner of 8 Mile and Prairie on the city's west side.

Kweli Bell says, "I'm told she had sex with a bunch of guys, and they were charging to do it."

He went on to say, "My daughter is 13 years old. They took advantage of her."

Her father says she has special needs, battling mental issues like depression.

She apparently ran away last Thursday, and got into a car with an older man at a nearby gas station.

Investigators are stressing there is not a rapist running around targeting people.

Bell wants police to use every tool possible to get these sexual predators off the streets.
