24-year-old Detroit man charged in Greektown carjacking of pregnant woman

Davonn Townsend, 24, is accused of carjacking a woman at gunpoint in Greektown.

He has been arraigned on multiple charges including Carjacking and Robbery - Armed.

Detroit Police tracked Townsend down near a relative's house on the city's east side where police say he parked the stolen car.

Townsend's bond has been set at $250,000 cash or surety.

The victim in the case is 14-weeks pregnant. Thankfully, she was not injured.

The vehicle has been recovered, but it remains with police for processing of possible evidence. We're told the victim's personal belongings, including her wallet, have not been found.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the victim with expenses related to the theft.
