A 7 Action News viewer sent us a photo that appears to show missing former Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh at a Starbucks in Seattle.
(WXYZ) - A 7 Action News viewer says she's spotted missing former Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh in Seattle.
The viewer, who is about to board a cruise to Alaska, says she and her family saw Pugh in a Starbucks on Pike Street in Seattle today.
She says her cousin went up to the former City Council president and asked if he was Charles Pugh. The viewer says the man acknowledged that he was and shook her hand.
The viewer says Pugh looked rested and relaxed and left shortly after they met him.
facing a lawsuit from a mother who has called his relationship with her son inappropriate.
Pugh gave the 18-year-old student more than $200 in cash , including money to pay for a prom night hotel and about $150 in dress clothes. He also purchased a cell phone for about $150 and paid for the cost of activation, according to the young man's mother, who did not want her son to have a phone.
Pugh has been missing since requesting a medical leave from his position. However, Detroit
Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr denied the leave and
stripped Pugh of his pay and authority.
However, Orr could not kick him off of council.
