The man who allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend last week was in court for arraignment on Sunday.

Tyshawn Bost appeared unfazed yet polite as he stood before a magistrate in Romulus, while he was formally charged Sunday around noon.

The 24-year-old was charged with Open Murder for allegedly killing 21-year-old Tiris Doss.

Her lifeless body was found inside a house on State Fair St. on Detroit’s east side Friday morning. It is believed Bost slit her throat.

According to a Detroit police officer, Bost was arrested as he tried to escape the scene. In court, it was revealed he has a lengthy criminal history.

He committed Home Invasion and Torture And Killing Of Animals in 2010. He also committed Larceny In A Building in 2012.

Due to his past crimes, Bost was charged as a habitual offender, which has a mandatory 25 year sentence. If convicted, he could spend the rest of his life in prison.
