Shawntel Barksdale set up a makeshift work area at her kitchen table in her frantic effort to get her daughter back home. Raven Roetherford, 15, has not been seen since after school Thursday.

"I’m very, very concerned and worried about her," Barksdale said.

She said Raven's aunt went to East Detroit High School in Eastpointe Thursday afternoon to pick the teenager up and take her to choir practice at church. When Raven was nowhere to be found, her aunt assumed she caught the bus home.

Barksdale said the last person to see Raven that day was a friend who said he walked her to the city bus stop at Gratiot and 8 Mile, but left before seeing her get on a bus.

"At this point I have no clue where she is," Barksdale said.

Barksdale has not been able to call her daughter because she confiscated her phone as discipline earlier in the week. But she said it's unlikely Raven was upset because of that. She has been trying to reach out to Raven through various social media.

Barksdale added Raven suffers from anxiety and panic attacks and had recently seen a doctor for it.

Raven is otherwise described as an exemplary student with no known issues at school.

Family members are desperately hoping the teenager has access to a TV or computer to hear their plea.

"Please, please,  please, please, at this point I beg you, contact somebody, anybody," Barksdale said.

Raven Roetherford is described as 5'6", about 215 pounds, with medium brown complexion. She was last wearing blue shorts, a grey t-shirt, black hoodie and black nike shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detroit Police at the 11th precinct at 313-596-1100.
