Neighbors in need of help turned to 7 Action News Reporter Ronnie Dahl.

When a demolition crew recently torn down a two story home, the bricks came crashing down, blocking the alley, preventing neighbors from gaining entry to their garages.

One neighbor told 7 Action News, “We all have alley access to our garages. We are being held hostage.”

Neighbors confronted the contractors, asking for the mess to be cleaned up.

Instead of getting action, they say they were told to drive through some vacant lots to reach their property. Only, the lots are private property.

7 Action News Reporter Ronnie Dahl arrived to talk with the contractor and met up with Leo Sanders, of Brick World. He said he didn’t understand what the big deal was, but promised the bricks would be hauled away by the end of the day.

He made the same promise to a representative with Mayor Duggan’s administration.

Within an hour, a semi truck arrived, loaded up the bricks and hauled them away.
