Police are investigating a shooting in the 20000 block of Barlow on Friday night.  A 17-year-old girl and a 27-year-old man were shot during what police are calling a marijuana buy gone bad.

It happened around 8:30 on Friday night.

Investigators say the 17-year-old was attempting to buy marijuana at a home on Barlow, when a dark colored sedan drove up and the people inside started firing.

The girl was hit and a 27-year-old man from the home was also hit.

Police say the girl is stable and the man is in critical condition.

Investigators are not sure why this drive-by happened or if the pair was targeted.

Lt. Darin Szilagy with the Detroit Police Department said bottom line, stay away from drugs.

"It appears that a possible marijuana deal may have gone bad, while they were there a car allegedly pulled up and fired several shots at the residence where they were going, the lady had gone to buy narcotics,” said Szilagy.
