DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Detroit Police Department is asking for the public's help to find a 14-year-old boy who has been missing since around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

Officers say Shawn Hicks was last seen by a family member in the 300 block of Arden Park Blvd. That's near the Detroit/Highland Park border and Woodward Avenue.

A family member says Shawn had gotten into trouble earlier in the day and was not home when they got there. They became worried because he has not been seen or heard from since.

Shawn is described as a 14-year-old male, 5'4', with dark skin complexion, and a small build. He was last seen wearing a black Nautica puffer coat, a black shirt, light gray loose fitting Calvin Klein Jeans, with gray and black Reebok gym shoes.

He is in good physical and mental condition.

If anyone has seen Shawn Hicks or knows of his whereabouts they are asked to please call Detroit Police Department's Tenth Precinct at (313) 596-1040 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak up.
