DETROIT (WXYZ) — UPDATE: Kaiyesa and Kaiyanna Pittman have been found safe and in good health, according to Detroit Police.

Detroit police are asking for the public's help to find two missing girls who were last seen in the custody of their father.

Police say Kaiyesa and Kaiyanna Pittman's parents are locked in a custody battle and that the father, whose name has not been released, took the children without permission from a home in the 17000 block of Riopelle Friday evening. That's near I-75 and McNichols on Detroit's east side.

Kaiyesa is described as a black female 2 years old, last seen wearing a multi colored knit hat, pink barrettes in her hair, pink coat, black pants, brown boots with butterflies on it.

Kaiyanna is described as a black female 4 years old, last seen wearing a white, hello kitty hat, black and white beads in her hair, white coat, blue jeans, black boots with stars all over and black bows on the back of the boot.

Both girls are in good physical condition.

The father left the scene in a unknown black vehicle.

Anyone with information on the girls' current location is asked to call the Detroit Police Department's Eleventh Precinct at 596-1100 or 313-596-1140.
