Students at Detroit's Old Redford Academy walked out on Monday morning in protest of the alleged firing of multiple staff members, including the principal.

Students walked out of the school holdings sign and chanting that they want their teachers back.

Most believe Angela Stanley, and English teacher and senior advisor, as well as Principal Charges Davis were fired.

7 Action News has not been able to confirm their status with the school, but the students say they were let go after the school board discovered Stanley was helping with a fundraising effort for a school trip to see the movie "Black Panther."

The students who walked out say they want answers and they want their teachers back.

An official at the school told our reporter to get off of the property, and calls to the school either go to a voicemail that is full or not set up.

One parent tells 7 Action News they are being kept in the dark and only received an email saying students are walking out because the staff had been placed on administrative leave.
