Police are cracking down on crime with the help of high-tech cameras from DTE.

It's happening thanks to a partnership between the two, installing hidden cameras inside cars and on bicycles around Detroit.

The cars and bikes are typically left as bait for criminals to steal, and those criminals are then seen on video and located by GPS.

DTE and WSU Police say they have had 60 convictions in the past 3 years.

The police have also had success due to a 90 second response time between Midtown and Downtown.

Detroit police are also participating in the collaboration that makes use of technology to make the streets safer.
