First ever Oakaloosa Music Fest at Detroit's Historic Fort Wayne on Saturday

Country, Hip Hop, & Rap acts scheduled

Detroit (WXYZ) - Did you know that there is a more than 1000 year old Native American burial ground in Detroit?  Did you know the British invaded Detroit during the War of 1812?  Did you know Civil War Soldiers were trained in Detroit?

It all happened at the Historic Fort Wayne. 

This weekend, the historic site will be taken over by crowds enjoying music. 

More than two dozen acts will join headliners Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Girl Talk, at the first ever Oakaloosa Music Festival. Organizers hope to make it an annual event.

It is happening on Saturday, July 27 from noon to midnight. 

Tickets are on sale at General admission is $45. It is $55 for a VIP Ticket, which includes a VIP entry, bar area and viewing location during the festival.

Money raised at the festival will support the non-profit Historic Fort Wayne Coalition and other charities.
