Paul McCartney played for a packed crowd at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. 7 Action News spoke with concert goers about whether the Las Vegas massacre played a role in their decision to attend.
The scene of the Las Vegas massacre, a musical performance where thousands of people gathered to watch some of their favorite musicians, when the night was shattered by terror and murder.
On, Monday, thousands gathered in downtown Detroit to see the legendary Paul McCartney, many said the Las Vegas massacre is on their minds.
"Just like everybody else, I don't understand why something like this happened, what would propel someone to do something like that,” said Steve Christi, who attended the concert.
Christi said he considered staying home.
"I thought about not coming, but I wanted to see Paul McCartney, I've never seen him before,” said Christi.
Others told 7 Action News they never wanted to let the tragedy change their plans.
"I like to travel, I like to go see things, it's not going to stop me,” said Suzette Greep, who attended the concert.
"It's a terrible thing that happened, you can't not go anywhere, you can't just stay home all the time,” said Sheryl Isenstein, who attended the concert.
No official word yet if there were many unused tickets to the show.
