DETROIT (WXYZ) - Now that Thanksgiving is history, many families are searching for the perfect Christmas tree and holiday decorations for their homes.
Today, dozens of people visited Eastern Market in Detroit to pick out their trees.
It's part of a campaign promoted by the Michigan Christmas Tree Association, Michigan Floriculture Growers Council and the Michigan Floral Association. The Detroit Lions was also a partner of the campaign.
The campaign encourages people to "Make It a Real Michigan Christmas" by buying locally-grown trees, wreaths and poinsettias.
Former Lions offensive tackle Lomas Brown was on hand signing autographs. Roary the Lion also stopped by.
Eastern Market is open Saturdays in December from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
