Mike Duggan expected to turn in petition signatures needed for Detroit mayoral election run

DETROIT (WXYZ) - Mike Duggan is expected to become the first Detroit mayoral candidate to file signatures needed to get on the ballot.

Duggan's representatives say he has more than one thousand signatures on the petitions needed to make his mayoral run official.

Each candidate needs five hundred signatures to be placed on the ballot.

Duggan would be the first candidate to turn in the necessary petition signatures.

Detroiters vote for the city's next mayor during an August primary election and a November general election later this year.
