Missing 14-year-old Detroit girl may be with mom who doesn't have custody

Detroit police are asking for your help to find a missing 14-year-old girl who disappeared Wednesday morning.

According to police, Makayla Brooks was last seen being dropped off at school in the 15000 block of Strathmoor, near Hubble and Fenkell on the city's west side.

Her aunt, who dropped her off, believes Makayla may be with her older brother and non-custodial mother.

She is described as a black female, 5-feet-3, 115 pounds with dark-colored hair and freckles. She was last seen wearing a black short sleeve polo-style uniform shirt black pants, gray Nike Hurrache brand sneakers and a black and blue Columbia jacket.

She is in good mental and physical condition.
