MoGo, Detroit Bike Share, an affiliate of the Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP), will offer free rides on Sunday, October 1 to thank people for their support of bike share and help more people enjoy  Open Streets Detroit.

The normal $8 fee for a Daily Pass will be waived on October 1. Charges will only apply for any individual trip that exceeds 30 minutes. Riders can avoid charges by docking a MoGo bike at any one of the system’s 43 stations before going over the time limit and taking another bike out.

Interested riders can go to any MoGo station, which can be found on www.mogodetroit.org or by downloading the Cyclefinder or Transit apps.

Insert a credit card, select “Purchase a Pass,” and follow the instructions on the screen, or use the Transit app by selecting “Purchase Pass.”

After completing transaction, pick any bike and type in a five-digit code issued when purchasing the pass on the keypad located on the left of each parked bike.

Ride for up to a maximum of 30 minutes at a time. *Fees apply if a rider goes over 30 minutes.

Return the bike to any station and take out another bike by inserting your credit card, or using the Transit app and selecting “I already have a pass,” then ride again!
