A grieving mother, living with the unspeakable, is asking for your prayers and help.

Symone Stewart was moving a car in a driveway Thursday when her 11-month-old daughter Jada was hit and killed instantly.

“Not being able to protect my baby and hold her in my arms while she lay lifeless was horrible,” she says. “I mean the scene was tragic and it will haunt me for the rest of my life.”

We were out on the tragic scene last night.

Police have investigated and found no foul play, ruling it just a very terrible accident.

It was over in seconds, in the driveway on Westmoreland where Symone and Lucious Taylor were visiting, along with their children.

Lucious was in the back yard with the 3 kids, a 3-year-old son, a 2-year-old daughter and Jada, who just turned 11 months on Wednesday.

Jada had learned to walk a month ago, and walked into the path of the SUV.

“I feel like God needed her more than we did.  I still, to this day, ask myself why me. And I know it’s wrong. I know she’s in a better place,” says Symone.

“I did not realize that she was ran over until after she was ran over,” says Lucious. “My baby, her eyes we open, but Jada wasn’t here. She was gone already.”

The reason this mother and father are speaking out - they want you to hug your kids. They want you to make sure this split second tragedy doesn’t happen to you.

“I just ask everyone pray for me, my family – not just my family – your family and everyone else. Cause it can happen to anyone,” Symone says.

And they need your support, prayers and want fill up a funeral for their Jada.

“And I just want the community to reach out to us and please help us,” Symone says. “We’re not asking for much.”

The family has set up a GoFundMe page. They need financial help for a funeral that has not been set.

They want this to be an event in which we all, as one big family, participate.
